You need an aquarium tank to complete your set up. The tank is the basic commodity that you must have if you planning to set up your own aquarium. The type of tank varies in different situations. It depends on the number of fishes that will be there in the aquarium. It also depends upon the size of the fishes. So you need to plan properly and well in advance so that you get the best tank for your aquarium.

You must buy a big tank in case you can afford it. However don't go for globe tank. Rectangle shape for the tank is always preferred because of several reasons.

Now you can set your tank in two ways. The first option is that you buy ready made glass tanks. These tanks are already set up and they are available at all the aquarium stores. You can also buy plastic models which are ready made. You can buy them through mould extrusion manufacturers or distributors.

The other method to set up your tank is that you get all the required equipments and set up the tank in your own way. You need a number of tools for this. They are:

1. Silicone sealant; it should be transparent and clear.
2. Glass sheet; 4 to 12mm wide
3. Dulling stove
4. Silicone gun, you can also have a syringe instead
5. Sheet of paper, eraser and pencil
6. Taperule
7. Newspaper
8. 2 naphin
