There are some essential factors which are a must in order to make your aquarium tank complete.

1. To make sure that the tank is safe, the location of the tank should be in a sport which is draft free. It should have reasonable amount of light for at least eight to ten hours. This will also ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the tank.
2. The sand gravel should be proper. It should neither be too small nor too big.
3. Put the tank at a place from where it need not be moved and also at a height which is convenient for working. A place where there is water spillage every day is also fine for putting up the tank.
4. Proper plants should be placed in the aquarium. The plants are a very important component of the aquarium.
5. The water should be properly conditioned. It should be free from chlorine. It should not have excess acidity, alkalinity or hardness. Acidic, hard and dirty water is not good for the aquarium as it leads to constant death of the fishes.
6. Put only such fishes in an aquarium which can live peacefully together.
7. The temperature should be proper for the particular species of the fish in the aquarium. Maintain the adequate temperature.
8. There should be proper ventilation to supply extra oxygen to the fishes.
9. Give proper food to the fishes so that they remain healthy.
10.  To remove waste products, there should be adequate filtration.
11. You can have utensils and other such things for the aquarium. These will help you in maintaining it properly.
12. Decorate your aquarium. You can also have furnishing for the aquarium.
