Goldfish in Aquarium are wonderful to watch these pets at your home. You can enjoy unexplainable tranquility by watching the gold fishes while they swim in the tank. If you are so interested to make your home more calm and quite with beautiful designed aquarium then it is important to provide your aquarium an appropriate and safe environment. This is why you have to learn the technique of maintaining a perfect water tank for your beautiful, golden, swimming pets.

If your aquarium is large enough, then your goldfish can move without any restraint. For your gold fish aquarium tank the actual measurement of your fish tank should be 24 inches of length and 10 inches of width. Then it is up to you to keep the number of fishes. If you want to keep more than one fish then you should put 5 gallons of tank space for every inch of fish. You tank should be build with 2 inches of sand at the bottom of the aquarium.

Don’t put the tap water for your tank fish which is safer. But it will be wise enough if you will use water conditioner for treating the tap water with water conditioner. Many aquarium lovers like to use bottled water rather than tap water. Don’t go for the water like distilled water and ionized water in your tank. Again ensure the sand is not getting bothered while pouring water to your aquarium or when doing little water change. Try to cover your aquarium always because the dirt and other redundant objects will not enter into your aquarium.

As the Goldfishes are hardy, they can dilute and contaminate the water so fast. Therefore it is necessary to change water periodically and partially. However it is recommended to change your water at every couple of weeks or once in a month. Replace the fresh water of 20 -25% of your aquarium that you have poured out of it. You need to be very cautious when you have applied to these processes because it can lead stress to the goldfish.

It will be dirt free and clear when you first set up your tank but after some days you will find some algae in your fish tank. There are several colors of algae that you can find like green, brown or red and sometimes it can be black. If you want to avoid the algae, you have to scrub down the tank and clear all the decorations inside.

Never use hard materials of scrubbing pads. If you will use soft pads it can easily clean the scratched from your tank. However an acrylic aquarium needs to be scrubbing all the sides of the tank. You can also use some elbow grease to eradiate the scrub on the back of the glass. You need to scrub both the filters and other objects in your fish tank. If it is not really scummy and dirty you should not try to eliminate them from your tank. In fact during the cleaning your aquarium you should not use any kind of soap, chlorine or bleach.
